Madam Christiana further revealed that out of a total of 46 Junior High Schools 11 JHSs obtained a 100% score in the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination.

“In relation to the 2020 BECE performance the District obtained a pass mark of 45.6%, I am glad to announce to you that, this has been the best performance of the last five years” she revealed.

Mrs Awuni was speaking at this year’s 65th Independence Celebration of Ghana organised at the Tongo School Park. She noted that with the emergence of the Covid 19 and the subsequent cuts to instructional hours, they were worried that the results may not be good. Having seen the performance, Madam Awuni is optimistic that, the students would do better with improved guidance.
