As the NPP pushes on, in its quest to finish up its internal reorganisation process, the Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Anthony Namoo is confident that the work he has done for the party is enough for the 310 delegates in the region to give him the nod to retain his seat.

He said this when he spoke on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show.

He said while the party may have lost some seats under his leadership, the situation was not peculiar to the region.

“You have to understand that this was a general problem. On average, the party lost two seats across the sixteen regions. We need everyone to work. At the moment, my focus is on the party works, but if there were to be honest assessments of my work, at the constituencies, on a scale of how I worked, I think I will be favourably considered,” he said.

So far, the current Regional Organiser, Jerry Asamani has also expressed interest in leading the NPP in the region. He made this public declaration on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show.

A health practitioner, Dr. Moses Atinga has also thrown his hat in the race for consideration as Regional Chairman of the NPP.
