The Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Musah Salahu-Deen has expressed confidence in his party’s ability to break the eight-year political jinx in the 2024 general elections.

In his view, the current crop of leadership in the region is determined to ensure the party achieves this unprecedented feat in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking on the Daybreak Upper East show on A1 Radio Monday, Mr. Salahu-Deen said the governing party is the only alternative for Ghanaians.

“It (breaking the eight) is more than reality from where I sit. It is because we want to make it a reality that’s why I am the youth organizer today. We are part of those going to make it a reality. For me, it’s a Ghanaian thing; NDC is not an option at all,” he stated.

He went on to scold former president John Dramani Mahama saying he is incapable of steering the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to victory in the 2024 elections.

“John Dramani Mahama, we have seen all of him. What is he bringing on board? He is bringing nothing at all, whatever he wanted to do, he has done already,” he added.

Mr. Salahu-Deen opined that the NDC would give the NPP a run for their money if they presented a new face to lead them in the elections.

In the history of the fourth Republican dispensation, no political party has held on to power for more than two terms.

However, Salahu-Deen believes by dint of hard work and a united front, the NPP would make history in the elections.
