A communications team member and a former Deputy Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region, Johnson Ayine has invoked divine punishment for all persons in public Senior High Schools and tertiary institutions who benefit from the government’s free wifi project but turn to castigate government.

According to Mr. Ayine, most of the teachers of the public SHS institutions enjoy free wifi but would continue to say Bawumia lied, and that the wifi is not working in the schools.

Speaking on Daybreak Upper East on A1 Radio, Mr. Ayine said some teachers enjoy the wifi more than students.

He said “I want you the media to expose some of these teachers. This WiFi, if you go to most of the secondary schools you will see some of these teachers congregate with their phones. “They enjoy the wifi more than the students, but we will come and sit here and say the wifi is not working, Bawumia lied. If God were to be asking everybody face to face one by one, your phone would have blasted. You, the one who is enjoying the wifi in secondary school, will call in or come and sit here and say the wifi is not working. If you go and connect your phone to the wifi in secondary school, may God blast your phone for you.”

He rebated the Talensi Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Michael Nangena who accused the Nana Addo led NPP administration of borrowing huge sums of money without doing much to alleviate the plight of Ghanaians.

Mr. Nangena recounted how the educational sector is being destroyed every passing day and the government seems to be adamant about the situation.
