NPP claims Neat Meat Factory in Zebilla as part of govt’s 1D1F but A1 Radio checks show the claim is false

The NPP has counted the Neat Meat Factory in Zebilla as part of the government’s flagship programme for industrialization; One District One Factory. But A1 Radio’s checks with the sources within the factory indicate that the claim of the NPP is false.

Speaking on the Day Break Upper East Show, Peter Azaare, a member of the NPP’s Upper East Regional Communication Team explained that the government had completed or was in the process of completing 4 factories in the Upper East Region.

“We have the Neat Meat Enterprise. That one is established in the Bawku West District. We have the New Vision Agro located in the Kassena Nankana West District. We also have the Talen Grey Limited also in Talensi and we are also revamping the Upper Quarry.”

“So basically, we have these 4 that are in the pipeline. We also have a leather factory in Yorogo,” he said.

Checks within the company indicate that the factory has not signed unto the government’s 1D1F. While the government may have propositioned the company to sign unto the programmes, negotiations broke down. The company is currently an entirely privately owned business.
