Six (6) athletes will represent the Upper East Region in the 2022 edition of Ghana Fastest Human at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The athletes that will represent the region are Sharifa Mahamadu, Mary Zong, Francis Akuda, Yidann Jonas Koka, Tracy Nab and Kamal Deen Alhassan.
Francis Akuda and Yidann Jonas Koka all from Bigboss would represent the region in the male category. In the female senior category, Mary Zongo from Bigboss will represent the Region. In other categories, U18 for females, Sharifa Mahamadu from Bigboss will represent the region while for U15 for females, Tracy Nab from Wobib JHS would represent the Upper East Region. Kamal Deen Alhassan from Bigboss would represent the same category for males.
The Upper East Regional team will be accompanied by Upper East Regional Athletes Coach, John Ali Atia.
The exercise will witness athletes across the country gather at the Cape Coast stadium to compete for laurels.
The tournament is scheduled for 24th September, 2022 and is sponsored by Ghana National Petroleum Cooperation (GNPC).
