The Bolgatanga East District Chief Executive Officer, David Amoah has called on candidates sitting for the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to desist from committing any examination malpractice.

“Just believe in yourself that you can do it and prepare yourself for that. Don’t be anxious about the examination, and please make sure you do not carry anything foreign to the exam hall”, he admonished.

The DCE who spoke to A1 Radio after his engagement with the students added that parents should seize this time to always provide good meals for their wards.

“This is the time parents have to leave whatever they are doing to assist their wards to have the best of meals before going to write their exams. Good meals and a good environment for their studies are necessary for them. So, I expect parents to treat their wards the best in times like these.”

In the Upper East Region, nineteen thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine (19,999) candidates are taking part in this year’s 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
