It would be recalled that after an initial decision to hold off sponsorship for the Upper East Music Awards, the CEO of Charger Industries, producers of Happy Man Bitters, Emmanuel Borketey Bortey reconsidered his decision and decided to throw his weight behind organisers of the Music Award Scheme as headline sponsor.
The decision was communicated in a release by Mr. Bortey and copied to a1radioonline.com.
In line with preparations ahead of the event, a stakeholders’ forum was held in Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital with seasoned entertainment personality, Sammy Flex. The event was used as a platform to hold discussions around ways to improve the 2022 edition of Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards.
Later in October this year, the 2022 edition of the Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards was launched. At the launch, it came to light that 106 nominees had qualified for 2022 edition of Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards. This is after 380 individuals put up their names for consideration. The 106 nominees are to battle for 30 different awards.
The CEO of Charger Industries, producers of Happy Man Bitters, Emmanuel Borketey Bortey stated that as part of the sponsorship package for the Upper East Regional Music award scheme, the overall winner of the competition would walk away with Ghc22,022.00.
The winner of the MOST POPULAR SONG OF THE YEAR for the 2022 edition of HMB-UEMA will be rewarded with a grand cash prize of GHC5000.00 and a whole year’s supply of products from Happy Man Bitters.
When Ibrahim Aziz, the PRO of HMB-UEMA spoke to A1 Radio about tomorrow’s event, he mentioned that patrons would be thrilled by top artistes in the region.
“Tomorrow’s event has a line up of musical tycoons ready to thrill patrons alike. It will feature the likes of Soorebia, King Awaaga, AmenEast Gospel, Mani Mndela, Onli Mc, Nambawan and many more.”
“This year’s event comes with a great exposure with many brands like Itel, Homeboy Trading Enterprise, Ebony Condoms and of course our headline sponsor, Happy Man Bitters stepping in to support winners with projects in their career to help catapult them into the limelight of Ghana Music.”
“This year’s event is dubbed; Awarding Excellence and it will be graced by the CEO of Charger Limited, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey,” Mr. Aziz added.
