The Deputy British High Commissioner to Ghana, Mark Kurt Estie, has expressed a high level of admiration for the culture of the people of the Upper East Region of Ghana.

Having been in the region a number of times for official duties, Mr. Estie gave it all to the people of the region for having such a wonderful culture.

According to the Deputy British High Commissioner to Ghana, the peace and unity among the people of the Upper East and Ghana as a whole is an indication that the country is committed to changing things around considering the recent economic downturn.

Speaking at this year’s 66th independence day anniversary celebration in Bolgatanga, Mr. Estie noted that the United Kingdom is ready to partner with Ghana for development.

“The Upper East Regional culture is a beautiful one to see. From the wonderful smocks and the energetic display and the dancing and drumming that was here earlier is commendable. I am truly happy to be here, it is amazing to see the posture of peace and unity in the region and northern Ghana at large.”

The Deputy British High of Ghana applauded successive governments of Ghana for having independence for good governance.
