Soorebia is one of the most sought after artistes in northern Ghana for his control of the Frafra language and his rapping capability. Soorebia had a listening session for the EP in 2022 before it was released. It got national attention because of the songs the EP consisted of.
A few days ago, renowned radio DJ, Phatbone on his evening drive time show opined that Soorebia released his hit single ‘K33k3’ too early. He was of the opinion that the song affected the shine of the ‘Star (Benge)’ song.
DJ Aluther, host of Music 360 on Word 88.3 FM, has the ‘K33k3’ song overshadowed the whole Bag of Rocks EP and not just “Star (Benge).”
“You see, the K33k3 song overshadowed the whole Bag of Rocks EP to me. Soorebia should have allowed the EP to trend long enough because it consisted of great songs and had the potential to trend for longer than it did before the release of K33k3. The release of his recent song really affected the EP.”
The BBT record signee is expected to host this year’s edition of the Made In Bolga festival aimed at celebrating the arts and cultural heritage of the people of the Upper East Region. The event will take place on the 9th and 10th of April with a cultural festival at the Jubilee park and a music concert at Jocom Golden Hotel.
