Co-host of A1 Radio’s Sunset Drive, Seidu Suleman Akurugu popularly known as Dj Phatbone has been adjudged the best presenter of the year in the three northern regions at the just ended Northern Entertainment Awards.
A graduate of school of hygiene, Dj Phatbone joined A1 Radio in December 2015 from Bolgatanga-based Word FM and has since been consistent in providing his listeners matured entertainment content with dexterous presentation.
He is noted for his prowess in blending the local dialect (Gruni) and English when hosting the late afternoon radio show with a touch of humor and style.
He beat six other contenders in the same category to take home the award.
The Northern Entertainment Awards is an award scheme that celebrates individuals who distinguished themselves in the industry in the three Northern Regions.
The maiden edition of this award scheme which was held on Saturday at the Tamale sports stadium celebrated individuals whose contribution have been immense to the entertainment industry in Ghana.
Dj Phatbone currently hosts the stations late afternoon Drive Show with Dj Lexis.
