The Kassena-Nankana Municipal Assembly, led by Joseph Adongo has redeemed its Ghc5,000 pledge towards the establishment of a hemodialysis centre at the Upper East Regional Hospital.
This is according to the lead advocate for the project, Dr. Emmanuel Akatibo. Dr. Akatibo spoke to Gerard Asagi on the Day Break Upper East Show today, June 7, 2023.
“Currently, the Talensi district, Bolgatanga and Kassena Nankana Municipalities have redeemed their pledges. Other individuals have also redeemed their pledges. I am yet to hear from the other district assemblies,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Akatibo explained that reminders are being sent to other organisations that made pledges. Once enough pledges are redeemed and other donations are collected, physical work, he said, can begin in earnest.
