In commemoration of this year’s Eid Al-Adha festival, Daniel Mahama Dung, the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s Parliamentary Candidate for the upcoming 2024 Parliamentary election, joined forces with the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Talensi Constituency, the Hon. B. T. Baba, to donate essential food items to the Muslim community.

Yesterday, on June 28, 2023, the two leaders presented thirty bags of rice and fifteen cartons of cooking oil to the Muslim community residing in the Talensi Constituency. This act of generosity symbolises the enduring relationship between the NDC and the Muslim community, which has thrived since 2015 when Hon. B. T. Baba assumed office as the representative of the Talensi Constituency in Parliament, according to the Constituency Communication Officer for the NDC in Talensi, Michael Nangena.

Throughout the years, the NDC, under the leadership of Hon. B. T. Baba, has consistently extended support to the Muslim community during significant celebrations. The donation, made to all Muslims residing in the Constituency and constituents employed at the Bolgatanga abattoir, further strengthens this amicable relationship and seeks blessings from Allah for the people of Talensi.

The beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude for the ongoing support they have received from the NDC and their Member of Parliament, B. T. Baba. Additionally, they were elated to learn that Daniel Mahama Dung, is committed to upholding this relationship. The Muslim community conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to both leaders and the entire NDC.

The Chairman, Hon. John Millim Nabwomya, received the donated items on behalf of the beneficiaries.
