Noella Wiyaala has disclosed that although she had an invitation to perform for the Queen of England, she never went to England but rather performed at the British High Commission in Ghana where the birthday party for the Queen was held.

News broke in the local media last year that Wiyaala had been invited by the Queen of England to perform for her during her birthday.

But speaking to Lexis on Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio, the Afro pop singer disclosed that she and her band performed to audience at the British High Commission and not in England as people thought.

“I never went to UK to perform. I did not see the Queen. I was just at the British High Commission in Accra with my band and we performed the whole night, singing Ghanaian songs, English songs, the Ghana National anthem and that of the British and that was all.”

She noted that people do not believe when she tells them she never performed at the Queen’s palace in England but that according to her was the truth.

The native of Funsi in the Upper West Region mentioned that she has been billed to perform at some European festivals for this year hinting the release of her second album.

She indicated that this year, she is expecting to shoot videos of songs on her first album.
