Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur will on Thursday April 7, 2016 commence a 3 day visit to the Upper East region.
Confirming the visit to A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show, Wednesday, Upper East Regional secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress Donatus Akamukri said the Vice President’s trip is a working visit that would comprise attending to both issues of administration and politics.
“His visit will be both administrative and political because he would be holding meetings with party executives and will be inspecting some on-going projects and commission some completed ones in the region. He will also be expected to address some party supporters.”
Mr. Akamukri added that the police command in the region has been informed in order to provide security while other arrangements were being made to organize party supporters to welcome him.
According to him, regional executives were yet to meet to draw a detailed itinerary for the Veep’s visit.
