The Zonal Branch of the Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion (SOCO) project in the Upper East and North-East Regions has received five brand-new pick-up trucks and other logistics to facilitate the project in the beneficiary districts and communities.

The logistics were provided by the Ministry of Local Government to enhance the project’s implementation mandate, aiming to strictly monitor and evaluate performances in various areas.

The logistics include five brand-new pick-up trucks, 45 laptops, and 162 tablets.

After receiving the logistics in Bolgatanga, Upper East Regional Minister Stephen Yakubu stated that the tablets were intended for the facilitators, while three laptops each would be given to the beneficiary districts. He called on the facilitators to use these items to create a positive impact in their respective areas of work.

The five-year project aims to prevent conflict spillover from Sahelian countries and improve infrastructure and livelihoods in the beneficiary areas.

The newly acquired logistics, according to Samuel Agyarko Larbi, the Zonal Coordinator for the Upper East and North East Regions, will play a pivotal role in strengthening the project’s outreach. He added that the laptops and tablets will significantly enhance the project’s monitoring and evaluation efforts by enabling real-time data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability in all project activities.
