The Electoral Commission has defended the change in its official logo adding that it will soon announce a date to outdoor the logo.
According to them, the change is in tandem with the restructuring and rebranding going on in the commission.
It will be remembered that some officials of the commission were removed from their positions and placed in other strategic positions as part of the commission’s move to give it a new face.
At a workshop to build the capacity of media practitioners in the Upper East Region, Deputy Commissioner for the commission, Mr. Amadu Sulley mentioned that the commission is going through a phase of rebranding hence the need for a new logo.
He mentioned that the EC after going through its rebranding process will come out with a set date to outdoor the logo adding that the media will be educated on the meaning of the various colours on the logo.
The new EC Logo has colours include blue, white and mauve.
