Photos: NPP parliamentary candidate for Bolga East escapes near-death accident

The New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Bolgatanga East constituency in the Upper East Region, Mathew Silas Amoah has survived a near-fatal accident while on his way to attend a program in Accra. According to reports, the accident occurred when the candidate’s vehicle collided with a truck on the Kumasi-Accra highway.

Reports are that the candidate’s vehicle was badly damaged in the accident after it had a head-on collision with a truck on Friday, 27th October 2023 around 1:30 pm.

All four, Mr. Amoah, his wife, bodyguard, and driver who were en route to Accra in a Toyota Land Cruiser V8, miraculously escaped from the near-gory accident with no injuries, were rushed to the Suhum government hospital for a check-up and discharged the same day.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation but the NPP parliamentary candidate is said to be in stable condition together with the 3 others involved.

Mr. Amoah even before he declared his intention to contest the Bolgatanga East constituency seat under the ticket of the NPP has undertaken several projects in the constituency in areas of health, education, human empowerment, and provision of safe drinking water among others. The philanthropist who is safe and sound after the accident, took to his Facebook wall and professed, “We shall live to declare the goodness of God”
