“Disunity caused us to lose the 2020 elections…Robert Apechira Aloo.

“Disunity caused us to lose the 2020 general elections; it was about the choice of words we used against each other that led to our defeat in 2020.”

One of the parliamentary aspirants for the Chiana-Paga constituency, Robert Apechira Aloo, believes one of the things that caused his defeat has to do with the choice of words they employed during their campaign in the 2019 primaries.

Mr. Robert said the words they threw at each other were unpleasant, and it has led the party to defeat.

He opined that it was very difficult to get party folks to work together due to the choice of words they used against one another.

“With the experience I had from 2019 going into the 2020 primaries, it has made me learn, and I went to the delegates to campaign without mentioning my opponent’s name. Even mentioning his name would make him popular to those who don’t even know him,” he added.

He said, “Unity and forgiveness are our campaign messages, and we believe that when we achieve these things, definitely, I am with the confidence this would help the party win the 2024 elections.”

Speaking to the media, he says he is winning by 90 percent.
