DUA: THENGASHEP Commissions 21 Seater ICT Centre For Dua Primary and JHS

THENGASHEP, a South African company in charge of a rural electrification project in the Upper East region has handed over a 21 seater ICT Centre and Computer Laboratory facility to the Dua Junior High and Primary School in the Bongo District.

The Chief Executive Officer of THENGASHEP, Ray Farrenkothen explained that the move to construct an ICT Centre for the people of Dua started 4 years ago when he met Prof. Thomas Akabza, a native of the area and Chief Director at the Ministry of Energy.

THENGASHEP also donated 2 bicycles to two female students of the Dua Junior High School, who travel from far communities to the school.

An obviously elated Prof. Akabza was grateful to THENGASHEP Limited for the kind gesture. According to him, it was a dream come true for him and the people of Dua community.

He further advised some other prominent citizens of Dua who have found themselves in good positions to always use their influence to bring development to their various communities. He said the 21 seater ICT facility was as a result of an appreciation for the good relationship he had with THENGASHEP and called on the school authorities and pupils to take good care of the facility to enable them rip its full benefit.
