The People’s National Convention (PNC) has held its regional congress in Bolgatanga and elected new regional executives to steer the party toward the December general election.

The congress, attended by delegates from across the region, national executives, and flagbearer hopefuls, was marked by optimism and enthusiasm, with party members expressing confidence in their chances of winning the upcoming election.

The newly elected regional executives pledged to work tirelessly to mobilize support and resources, ensuring the PNC makes a strong showing in the December polls. Party leaders emphasized the PNC’s commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of the Upper East Region, highlighting their vision for development, prosperity, and good governance.

Thomas Nsoh Atamolga, the regional secretary of the party, said, “Today we are telling all Ghanaians that the PNC is alive and poised for the 2024 general election. We are making headway and assuring all Ghanaians that the PNC is going to win the 2024 general election. There is no division in the PNC; the party is ready to win power because Ghanaians know that only the PNC has the policies to solve the problems in the country.”

The PNC is expected to hold its national delegates conference on August 31, 2024, across the country to elect their national executives and presidential candidate.

David Apasera, the PNC’s 2020 presidential candidate who is seeking to lead the party once again in the upcoming election, urged delegates to give him the mandate to make the party attractive and win the election on December 7, as Ghanaian youth are eager for change.

Former National Chairman of the PNC and flagbearer hopeful Bernard Mornah, while describing himself as a unifier, is optimistic about becoming the PNC candidate and the next President of Ghana.
