The Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has expressed confidence in winning the parliamentary seat and increasing votes for the NDC in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Speaking of the party’s prospects in the constituency, Alamzy boldly remarked, “The only celebration the NPP will enjoy in the Chiana-Paga Constituency might be their individual birthday celebrations, but not electoral victory in the 2024 elections.”

His statement reflects his optimism that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stands little chance of securing a win in the constituency.

Alamzy attributed his confidence to the NDC’s understanding of the needs of the electorate, which he believes the party has consistently addressed during its time in power.

According to him, the NPP government, since assuming office in 2017, has failed to implement meaningful projects that align with the needs of the people.

He highlighted that the rising unemployment rate among the youth, particularly those with entrepreneurial potential, is a major issue that the government has overlooked.

Furthermore, Alamzy pointed out that the scarcity of potable water in various communities within the constituency remains a significant challenge.

He argued that the NPP’s inability to tackle such basic social issues has eroded the people’s trust in the party.

He, therefore, called on the people of Chiana-Paga to have faith in the NDC, promising that the party, when in power, will prioritize job creation and address the pressing needs of the youth and other vulnerable groups.

Alamzy emphasized that the NDC’s agenda is to “reset the country” and foster development that benefits the entire constituency.
