A1 Radio awarded as Tourism-Oriented Media of the Year

The Ghana Tourism Authority has recognized A1 Radio, a subsidiary of the Agreed Best Communication Company, as the Tourism-Oriented Media of the Year 2024 at the Upper East Regional Tourism Awards.

A citation presented to the organization read, “The radio, as part of the fourth estate, is an essential channel for the propagation of information, making the world a global village. A1 Radio has demonstrated a commitment to tourism information dissemination in the region. You believe that tourism and hospitality can help improve the economic fortunes of this region, which is why your studio is considered GTA’s second office. You have consistently created developmental and promotional content for discussion.”

“The key interest shown in marketing and informing the public about tourism products and related activities in the region is remarkable and well noted. The Ghana Tourism Authority appreciates the value you place on tourism in the region and is proud to confer upon you THE TOURISM-ORIENTED MEDIA (RADIO) OF THE YEAR, 2024.”

The management of A1 Radio stated that the award is a significant recognition of the team’s hard work and dedication to promoting tourism in the Upper East Region. They expressed gratitude to the Ghana Tourism Authority for the honor and emphasized the importance of collaboration and community engagement in their initiatives.

They urged the team to build on this success, reminding them that the journey does not end with the award.

Management reaffirmed its commitment to providing valuable content that elevates the region’s profile as a tourist destination. They called on all stakeholders to join in these efforts, reinforcing that together, they can achieve even greater milestones in promoting the beauty and culture of the Upper East Region.

Meanwhile, Moses Apiah, journalist from A1 Radio, was honored as the Tourism Personality of the Year at the recently concluded Upper East Regional Tourism Awards.

This prestigious recognition is a result of his unique documentary work and insightful features that have consistently highlighted both the potential and challenges of the tourism sector in the region.
