Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, the Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Candidate for Builsa South, has reaffirmed his dedication to women’s empowerment in his constituency by donating GHS 20,000.00 to four women’s groups.
This initiative aims to facilitate critical development projects that will drive community growth and improve the livelihoods of women in the area.
The funding will be used to connect electricity to two rice mills and to roof two additional structures, including a rice mill and a conference hall.
Each of the beneficiary groups, from Buterisa, Logmiisa, Yerinsa, and Zongo in Fumbisi, received GHS 5,000.00 to help realize these important projects.
During the donation event, Dr. Apaak emphasized that empowering women is vital for community development.
He believes that when women achieve financial security, they are better equipped to make independent decisions, build resilience against poverty, and contribute positively to social change.
His commitment to women’s empowerment is reflected in his broader strategy to provide both financial and material support, aiming to uplift women, youth, and the less privileged in Builsa South.
Dr. Apaak encouraged the women to use the funds wisely and for their intended purposes, underscoring his ongoing commitment to fostering an environment where they can maximize their potential.
In response to his generosity, the women expressed their heartfelt gratitude and excitement, pledging to support Dr. Apaak in the upcoming elections.
They recognize his efforts as instrumental in their development and are eager to see him continue his initiatives aimed at improving the community.
They added that the legislator’s actions are a testament to his belief in the transformative power of women’s empowerment for sustainable development in Builsa South.
