Campaign for Female Education Ghana (CAMFED) has organized its annual media partnership meeting in Tamale in the Northern aimed at forging stronger ties with the media to promote Girls’ Education, Women’s Empowerment, and Enterprise Development.
The event provides a platform for CAMFED Ghana to showcase its programs, share the impact of CAMFED Alumnae Association (CAMA) work, and engage with media professionals in question-and-answer sessions.
The meeting fosters networking and collaboration, leveraging the power of media to support CAMFED Ghana’s mission. By working together, CAMFED Ghana and the media can amplify the voices of marginalized girls and women by promoting their rights and empowerment.
Whiles highlighting the importance of the media partnership, CAMFED National Director, Fairuza Abdul–Rashid Safian noted that, its Child protection policy was very significant in the country by safeguarding vulnerable children.
“There will be presentations on CAMFED programmes and key upcoming activities for 2025, highlights of communications and media activities for 2024, a presentation highlighting CAMA activities for 2024, key performance indicators for 2023, as well as overview of CAMFED child protection and safeguarding policy. An open forum provides you an opportunity to ask questions on the presentations and on what we do generally”
CAMFED Ghana is a Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to promoting Girl-Child Education and rights in Africa with a focus on rural areas in Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe and Kenya. The CAMFED National Director stated that the Organization since its inception in Ghana has supported a total of 738, 312 Secondary School Girls and 36,364 Enterprises.
