Isaac Ayemvoa, a member of the Upper East Regional Communications Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed confidence in the party’s ongoing efforts toward national development, emphasizing a shift from political rhetoric to addressing key economic and social challenges facing Ghanaians.
Speaking during an interview on A1 Radio, he stated that the party remains committed to delivering results that positively impact the daily lives of citizens. According to him, the NDC is actively working on a broad range of issues and is already seeing encouraging outcomes. He stressed that the party is not resting on its laurels and continues to push forward with initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the Ghanaian people.
“We are not sleeping because there’s a lot on our plate. Some of our efforts are yielding results, and we’ve begun to see signs of progress. I believe we must not let our guard down—we need to keep pushing to better the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian.”
Mr. Ayemvoa explained that the NDC’s current approach centers on economic stability and practical governance rather than partisan politics. He noted that the party has shifted its focus to pressing “bread and butter” issues such as food supply, market prices, and the general cost of living.
“We are actually not interested in partisan politics at this point. We’ve moved past that. What we need is space to focus on the bread and butter issues that keep the Ghanaian going—and that’s exactly what we are doing.”
He pointed to improvements in areas like the school feeding program and the gradual stabilization of market prices as signs of progress. While acknowledging that some challenges remain, he maintained that the NDC is committed to the hard work required to address them.
“Some things are coming down, while others are still high. We need to work collectively and put things in place to stabilize the situation.”
Mr. Ayemvoa also noted that the current administration is continuing some projects initiated by the previous government, reflecting a commitment to continuity and national interest rather than partisan divides.
“Some of the projects that were started by the previous government are being continued,” he said.
According to Mr. Ayemvoa, the NDC remains focused on serving the people and ensuring that government efforts result in tangible improvements in their everyday lives. He emphasized the party’s commitment to delivering on its mandate through responsible governance and results-driven leadership.
