It was all joy and fun at the Operation Mango Tree Orphanage on Friday September 30 when Upper East Region’s Representative in last year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Patience Azure feted children in the Orphanage as part of events to mark her birthday.
The event which took place at the premises of the orphanage home saw Azure and her friends spend some time with children at the facility.
Speaking to a1radioonline.com after the event, Azure mentioned that her decision to feast with the children at the facility was borne out of the love she has for children and her quest to see children enjoy the best of life.
She was optimistic that her presence at the facility will motivate children there to also work hard at achieving their dreams.
On her part, Caretaker of the facility, Madam Laadi was very appreciative of Azure for the gesture shown to the Orphanage. She mentioned that her (Azure) presence there was even enough since most of the children especially the girls look up to her.
She called on other benevolent individuals and institutions to also contribute to the growth of the orphanage to ensure that the children enjoy the best of life there.
Miss. Azure apart from feeding the children also made a cash donation to the facility and also distributed some exercise books to the children.
Operation Mango Tree Orphanage is an orphanage in the Upper East Region which is sponsored by Afrikids, a Non – Governmental Organization operating in the region. Currently, the orphanage home houses twenty nine children.
