Walewale MP donates 2,900 mathematical sets to 2025 BECE candidates

In a remarkable show of support for education, the Member of Parliament for Walewale, Dr. Tiah Abdul-Kabiru Mahama, has donated 2,900 mathematical sets to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) 2025 candidates in the municipality.

The donation, channeled through the Ghana Education Service (GES) Walewale Municipal Directorate, aims to relieve financial burdens on students while improving their preparedness for the crucial national examination.

The items were officially presented on behalf of the MP by Mr. Tia Francis, Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Walewale Constituency. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Francis emphasized Dr. Kabiru’s unwavering commitment to improving educational outcomes in the region.

“This initiative forms part of Dr. Kabiru’s broader vision to promote academic excellence and ensure all students have equal access to essential learning materials,” Mr. Francis noted.

Receiving the donation, the Municipal Education Director expressed profound appreciation to the MP, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.

“These mathematical sets for BECE candidates will go a long way in boosting students’ confidence and enhancing their performance,” the Director stated. “It also highlights the critical role of community leadership in strengthening basic education in Ghana.”
