The Paga Youth Movement and the management of Kacstone Records have jointly donated GH¢10,000 to the Alagumbge Association to support the enhancement of the newly established Upper East Regional Passport Center.

The donation, led by Mr. Durigem Aborah Wenawome, who serves as both the President of the Paga Youth Movement and the CEO of Kacstone Records, aims to ensure the passport center becomes fully functional and well-equipped to serve the region effectively.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Wenawome explained that the gesture was inspired by a report aired on A1 Radio, which announced that the passport office would be officially opened on October 23 but noted that certain areas still required attention before the commissioning. He said the two groups decided to intervene as part of their collective commitment to regional development.

“We heard from A1 Radio that the passport office will be opened on the 23rd, but some parts still need support. We saw it as a good cause because it’s something we have been advocating for. Though we are from Paga, the region is one, and once we share the same mission and ideology, we must come together to support it,” he said.

Mr. Wenawome further assured that the car shield needed for the passport office would also be provided by their associations as part of their contribution. He emphasized that beyond financial support, unity and shared purpose among the region’s youth are crucial for progress.

Receiving the donation, the Chairman of the Alagumbge Association, Mr. Gabriel Agamblia, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the two groups for their generosity. He assured them of the association’s commitment to collaborating closely with all stakeholders to promote development in the Upper East Region.
