The Member of Parliament for the Chiana-Paga Constituency, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has secured 2,000 bags of fertilizer to support more than 950 male farmers across the constituency as part of efforts to boost dry-season farming and enhance food production.

According to a statement by Hakim Nurudeen, Special Aide to the MP, each farmer will receive two bags of fertilizer under the initiative, which is designed to strengthen local agricultural productivity and support livelihoods in the constituency.

The statement emphasized the MP’s continued commitment to improving the welfare of farmers and promoting food security in the area.

“The MP remains committed to working tirelessly to support farmers in the constituency,” the statement said.

The distribution exercise is scheduled to begin in the North Zone on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the former NIA Office (opposite the former GES Office) at Paga Hilltop. The event will start at 8:00 a.m. prompt.

Beneficiaries are required to present their Ghana Card at the distribution venue. Those without it may use their Voter ID card as an alternative form of identification. Electoral Area Coordinators in the North Zone are expected to notify all beneficiaries ahead of the exercise.

Distribution in the West Zone will follow on Saturday, November 1, 2025, while farmers in the East Zone will receive theirs on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

The initiative, according to the MP’s office, forms part of Mr. Alamzy’s broader agricultural support programme aimed at empowering farmers, increasing yields, and enhancing food security within the Chiana-Paga Constituency.
