Clement Apaak  Ends Azong’s Eight Years Reign In Parliament

National Democratic Congress’ Clement Apaak has emerged winner of the Parliamentary race in the Builsa South Constituency in the Upper East Region.

Dr. Apaak polled 7666 as against 2814 polled by the NPP’s Gariba Daniel Kwame and the incumbent Azong Alhassan who polled 4462.

The Presidential staffer ends the reign of PNC’s Azong Alhassan who has occupied the seat since 2008 when he took over from Abolimbisa Roger Akantagriwen of the National Democratic Congress.

Total valid votes cast in the election was 14,942 with 450 votes been reject votes whiles 15392 were the total votes in the election.
