The Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central, Hon. Simon Aworigo, has donated GHS 3,000 to support Navrongo Liberty Stars FC as the team participates in its maiden Middle League campaign in the Upper East Regional Football Association Division Two League.
Navrongo Liberty Stars FC has performed impressively, defying expectations and leaving many wondering how the team managed to achieve such success.
The team opened its Middle League campaign with a 1–1 draw against Bongo Beo Samba Stars and hopes the donation will serve as motivation ahead of their next fixture.
With experienced tactician Cherry Azanlerigu Mboma, popularly known as “Town Puller”, at the helm, the “Arise and Shine” boys are expected to deliver strong results when they take on Bolga Soccer Masters FC in their week two encounter.
The donation is seen as timely support to boost morale as the team prepares for the crucial match.
