Former President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed reports on various media platforms over a new appointment with the United Nations.
There were reports from some sections of the media on Sunday that the former President had been appointed to co-chair a session on Sustainable Development Goals with the Prime Minster of Erna Solberg of Norway.
But the former President in a tweet has dismissed the reports making rounds in a tweet which reads “Folks! I have no new UN appointment. The Co-chair of SDG advocacy group appointment was last year January when I was Prez. Thanks”.
He further mentioned that “What many are sharing are the UN statement from January 2016 announcing the appt & my statements at the 2016 Davos Forum”.
