A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team in the Upper East Region, Akanbange Nsobila Nelson, popularly known as Brainbox, has declared his intention to contest for the position of Deputy Communication Officer of the party in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency.
In a declaration of intent, Brainbox said he is seeking the support and votes of Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling Station Executives, party elders, the youth and women’s wings, communicators and other party faithful.
He said his decision to contest was backed by years of service to the NDC at different levels of the party.
Brainbox noted that he previously served as TEIN Deputy Secretary at St. John Bosco’s College of Education in Navrongo during the 2015/2016 academic period and has served as a two-term Branch Secretary since 2018.
He has also been a member of the Bolgatanga Central Constituency Communication Team since 2017 and the Upper East Regional Communication Team since 2019.
Additionally, he has served on the party’s Regional Youth Working Committee since 2023 and acted as a party agent at Pobaga Tua No. 1 during the 2016, 2020 and 2024 general elections.
According to him, his experience, knowledge of modern media and communication, and fresh ideas would help strengthen the party’s communication structures, counter misinformation and effectively engage the party’s rank and file.
“I bring experience, fresh ideas, and a strong command of modern media and communication to strengthen our communication structures,” he stated.
Brainbox said his ultimate goal is to contribute to strengthening the NDC in Bolgatanga Central ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He appealed to delegates and party faithful to support his candidature, declaring: “Let us unite. Let us communicate. Let us win together.”
