Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Ibrahim Braimah has said the New Patriotic Party in the Upper East region is fully in support of the decision by President Akufo-Addo to nominate Rockson Bukari as Regional Minister.
According to him, there is no opposition to the choice of the President considering his vast experience as a leader and his understanding of the terrain in the Upper East Region.
“The party is fully in support of the President’s decision but if there is any I am not sure about that. But I will be surprised of anybody saying he is not qualified to be the Regional Minister. I know he is prepared and ready not only to unite but ensure that there is physical transformation in the Region.”
He mentioned that the President had seen that the people of the Upper East have a problem and has brought an equally competent hand to help arrest those problems with his experience.
He acknowledged that Hon. Rockson Bukari will take some decisions which will not go in the favour of the party, he thinks that the current state of the Upper East Region needs an individual who has an unwavering spirit to take decisions that will help change the story of the Region.
He assured the people of the Upper East of the NPP’s support for the Regional Minister-designate adding that there was no way there will be partisan influence during his tenure adding that he has come in to represent people of the Upper East and not the NPP.
