Zee Gunu as he is affectionately called in the showbiz circles a has released his first song for the year titled “wonkoa” which features one of Tamale’s best, One9ra.
In an exclusive interview on A1 radio’s evening drive program hosted by Lexis, Zee indicated that “the new song was released on Monday and has since received lots of airplay and applauds from fans and music enthusiasts”.
On why he featured One9ra, he said: “One9ra is one artiste I have always admired and looked forward to collaborating with but was just waiting for the right moment and this is it. When my manager got in touch with him about the song he said yes immediately”.
Talking about his new single and the inspiration behind the choice of lyrics, Zee said: “I wrote the song. I developed the concept when I chanced on a gentleman confessing how much his lady meant to him after they had a little misunderstanding. The lady felt that the guy didn’t love her that much so she doubted him, then it hit me. From nowhere the lyrics just started running through my head and the next thing, it gave birth to a very beautiful song”.
Zee reminded his followers that he intends doing more this year and therefore underscored the need for his followers to anticipate for a great year with great music.
The artiste who was formerly signed onto Swagplus entertainment is under now under Westside entertainment and is managed by Mr. West Gee who is a pioneer in the Upper East entertainment industry.
