The Area Head Pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church International in the Upper East region, Rev. Charles Anim Brako has said if Ghana as a country continues to lean on God, the country will excel in all her dealings.
According to him, the country is blessed with several resources which could be put to good use if only the country leans on God and trust that the fortunes of the country will only be turned around through him.
Rev. Anim Brako who was speaking at the Regional Easter Convention which is part of activities to mark the Church’s centenary celebration saw the attendance of the Upper East regional minister, Rockson Ayine Bukari and other dignitaries.
Rev. Charles Anim Brako that the President, Nana Akufo-Addo ‘ s mantra has always been the “Battle is the Lord’s”; an indication that the country believes in the potency of Christ Jesus but said if the President and the country rejects the lord, the Lord will also denounce the country and leave it to suffer..
He said: ” I am telling this country through the Regional Minister that if the country departs from God, the country will not prosper but if the country commits her ways and activities to the hands of the lord, it will get to a point that the country will not have to borrow because the natural resources available will be sufficient for the development of the country”.
He mentioned that the country is currently challenged with the ‘Galamsey’ menace which has destroyed several of the country’s water bodies and other natural resources and therefore called on the Regional minister to work at ensuring that a further deterioration of the country’s natural resources is prevented.
The Reverend Minister who doubles as the Head of Pentecostal Churches in the Upper East region noted that the death and resurrection of Christ should be used as an occasion for the renewal of the love that the country and it’s citizens have for the lord and a period to show love to the less privileged in society.
On his part, the Regional minister called on the church to encourage their congregation and member of the various churches to commit to hard work and forget about the notion that God blesses the believer because God blesses the hard worker.
“Reverend Chairman, in spite of the high standing of the church in the scheme of things in Ghana, the activities of some self-styled religious leaders tend to drag the name of the religion into the mud. Many pastors and preachers have left the vital injunctions of the Bible and taken to what is now popularly known as the Prosperity Gospel with vain assurances of quick successes and comfortable living. These are obviously at variance with the good news of the bible which preaches patience, hard work, and modesty among other things.”
