The List of nominees for Upper East Region

The list of Municipal and District Chief Executive nominees are out, and as expected, the news has triggered jubilations and sobbing across the three Municipalities and 10 Districts of the Upper East Region.

On Tuesday April 25, some NPP youth went on rampage, destroying public and private properties over a mere rumour, that Madam Victoria Ayamba has been nominated. They threatened to cause more troubles in the area if the President goes ahead to nominate this woman.

The President has nominated Madam Victoria Ayamba as the District Chief Executive nominee for the Bawku West District according to a list from the Local Government Ministry.  A1 Radio will keep an eye on that district to see if indeed the NPP Youth will cause more troubles in the area.

In the Bawku Municipality, some Party Elders and Youth protested against what they described as a unilateral decision by the Constituency Chairman to impose one Ustarz Umar on them as the Municipal Chief Executive nominee for the Bawku Municipality. The President has nominated one Moctar Amadu Bagaya for the position of Bawku Municipal Chief Executive.
