In its bid to explore all avenues to curb the growing environmental sanitation challenges confronting residents, the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly is pushing for the backing of assembly members to fence all the sanitary sites in the municipality. The move, according to the Municipal Sanitation Officer, Leo Loguchura, would also include stationing a sanitation guard at the entrance of the fence to ensure residents appropriately direct their refuse into refuse containers.
Mr. Logoshura added that until all sanitation sites in the municipal are fence the assembly needs to give approval else “if you make a move they will send you to court that it is illegal”
He disclosed this on the maiden of edition of Reporters’ Visit, a news and current affair program on A1 RADIO. Reporters’ Visit is aired on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2:00pm on A1 RADIO 101.1 MHZ.
Mr. Logochura was hopeful the move would go a long way to address all sanitation challenges in the municipality.
