Zoomlion Ghana Limited in the Upper East Region has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its working relationship with Municipal, and District Assemblies (MDAs) as part of efforts to improve sanitation across the region.

The company emphasized that sanitation cannot be achieved by one entity alone, urging residents to see the fight against filth as a shared responsibility.

The Upper East Regional Coordinator of Zoomlion Ghana, Ishmael Ashitey, made this known during the company’s annual end-of-year thanksgiving service held at the Church of Pentecost, Bolgatanga Zaare District.

The service, held in gratitude to God for His protection and guidance throughout the year, brought together workers, management, and partners to celebrate achievements, reflect on challenges, and renew their commitment to environmental cleanliness.

According to Mr. Ashitey, Zoomlion workers have demonstrated dedication throughout the year, contributing significantly to waste management efforts in major towns and communities.

He noted that the company is more determined than ever to intensify its service delivery in 2025, promising improved waste collection, public education, and sanitation interventions.
“We are committed to doing even more next year. Our workers have shown resilience and passion, and we will continue to empower them to deliver better services. But sanitation is a shared responsibility. Every resident, household, and institution must play a role,” he stated.

Mr. Ashitey further assured that Zoomlion will continue to strengthen stakeholder engagements, deepen collaboration with traditional authorities, and work closely with the assemblies to implement sustainable waste management solutions.

He also praised the efforts of workers in the region, commending their sacrifices in keeping towns clean despite operational challenges.

The thanksgiving service featured prayers, praises, and words of encouragement, serving as an opportunity for the company to renew its mission to ensure a cleaner, healthier Upper East Region in the years ahead.
