After his return from the just ended MTN hitmaker season 2 competition in Accra, not much has been heard from the ‘TOMMANEH’ hitmaker Soorebia.
Now when it seems as if he has disappeared from the music scene he resurfaces with a new hit single titled ‘YAM’. The song talks about eating different diets and not always yam.
In an interview with a1radioonline.com, Soorebia said the song came as a result of the reality people face during hardship especially in these hard economic times where people are forced to eat one type of food every day. The song according to him was recorded in Tamale.
Touching on his music career, he said he is presently in school to pursue higher level of education in Tamale in the northern region.
He also used the opportunity to alert his funs that he is not out of music but he is only on the low because of his education so funs should still watch out for him.

In an exclusive interview with Perwest Gee on Monday 2nd December, 2013 with a1radioonline.com, he said the whole show was meant to specifically entertain the children in the region since according to him in December every year children are left out of the celebration.
He also spoke on the fact that, Tutulapatu is a guest artiste but there will be other performances by some of the region’s finest artistes to add more flavor the show. To also verify as to whetherTutulapatu will actually be in the region since on several occasions’ some event managers in the region promise to bring some artiste(s) to a show organized in the region end up not delivering as promised. He said arrangements have been done and the manager of the artiste Pope Skinny has promised them the organizers that Tutulapatu will be in the upper east region a day before the show for a tour in the region before his performances on the 13th of December 2013.
Perwest Gee also confirmed to a1radioonline.com that they decided to use the catholic social center instead of catering rest house because of space factor and the fact that it is in the center of town. He rapped up by urging parents to buy tickets and bring their children to the venue on the said date to have fun.
Posters of the show are all over town and advertisement has already begun on some radio stations in the region with tickets going out for Ghc 5.00 per child.
A1radioonline.com will be bringing updates on the show as and when it happens.
Stonebuoy Burnington, one of Ghana’s finest dancehall artistes after being in the music industry in Ghana for long has been to several parts of the country and now Tamale in the northern region.
This December, the ‘pull up’ hit maker is said to thrill funs on the 13th December in Navrongo and the 14th in Bolgatanga at the catering rest house. This was revealed to a1radioonline.com in an exclusive interview with one of the organizers of the show called Castro on Tuesday 3rd December, 2013.

It appears the Shatta Movement, Dancehall king hit maker, Shatta Wale, is not slowing down with his releases as the year is drawing to an end. Same can be said about his battle for the dancehall crown with Samin.
In his latest release titled King of DC featuring Sonni Balli, , Shatta Wale from the lyrics seems to be continuing with his war with Samini gaining the support of Sonni Balli who appears to be endorsing the talent of the SM4Lyf artiste.
The Video was shot on location in the UK at a car park.
Not long ago, Samini released “Still Burning” ft Sonni Balli, the man he bears so much resemblance with and owes a lot as well. It is therefore not clear however, if the release of Shatta Wale’s King of DC also ft Sonni Balli is a direct reply to Samini.
The battle for who is the real dancehall king in Ghana has reached tensed limits with lyrical and counter abuse by the two artist soaring.
At the just passed Guinness Big Eruption event, where Samini was widely reported to have floored Shatta Wale, the lyrical war seems to have heightened with fans of both artistes also joining in the dispute.

Ghollywood Production (GP) Limited, organizers of the Ghana Movie Awards on Tuesday, December 3, launched the fourth edition of the event at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra. The main event is scheduled for Monday, December 30th, 2013 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Present at the launch were the Minister for Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts- Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare; Mr. Steve Asare Hackman, President of Film Producers Association, and a host of celebrities including John Dumelo, Sonnie Badu, James Gadner, Ekow Smith Jnr., and Vivian Achor.
Addressing the media on what would be new at the Ghana Movie Awards 2013, General Manager of the Company, Prince Tsegah, said: “We are promising nothing but a very entertaining and concise four-hour-package, which would start at 8pm prompt; irrespective of the number of people present in the hall at 8pm on December 30th.”
This year, the Academy system has replaced the Jury System, which has been used for the Nomination/Voting process since the inception of the awards show four years ago.
According to the organizers, a panel made up of 50 key industry people shall form the Nominations and Voting Academy. Different wings of the Academy shall determine the nominees in their respective categories. However, all voting members could vote for best picture nominees.
Members from each wing vote to determine the nominees in their respective categories — actors nominate actors, for example, while film editors nominate film editors with each member selecting up to five nominees. For the special awards and African categories, more than one wing screening committees vote on the nominees. Special screening by the Academy would be at Silverbird Cinemas. Meanwhile each member would later vote secretly and post their sheets directly to the event statisticians, Deloitte & Touche for accounting.
Also, according to the organizers, the 2013 Ghana Movie Awards is dedicated to the memory of Ghanaian writer, poet and film maker, the late Kofi Awoonor (13 March 1935 – 21 September 2013), for his contribution to the industry.
In her keynote Address, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mrs. Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, who endorsed the event, said: “Ghana Movie Awards has soon become the biggest annual event in the film industry, where the entire industry looks forward to.”
“It is my expectation that events like this would help encourage businessmen to invest into the industry, in addition to the advocacy for Government’s assistance and policies to court film studios to come to this country for productions; which would further open up the landscapes and create jobs for local film crews”, she further noted.
The Minister also hinted that she had already constituted a committee that is drafting a legal and regulatory framework for the creative arts industry.
“Also my Ministry is working closely with the Ministry of Information and Media Relations, and Industry stakeholders to ensure that the Draft Cinematography and Film Bill is passed into Law”, she hinted.
President of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), Mr. Steve Asare Hackman, used the opportunity to give a hint on plans he had for FIPAG, and its affiliation with Ghana Movie Awards.
The final list of Nominees will be released at MAG Nominee Party 2013 at Golden Tulip on December 14, 2013.
A Political Science Lecturer has described the Member of Parliament for Adanse Asokwa as “emotionally incompetent”.
Prof. Amoako Baah of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the outburst and verbal attack on Hon. Benjamin Kumbour by Hon. K. T. Hammond in Parliament on Wednesday, was unwarranted and needles.
In his view, it clearly underlines his intolerance to some politicians in the country. He, however, prescribed that a stiff punishment be meted out to the Adanse Asokwa MP, preferably, a ban from the august House for some time.
He was speaking to Adakabre Frimpong Manso on NEAT FM on the near bust-up that occurred on Wednesday.
A fiery scene was enacted in Parliament when the Majority Leader, Benjamin Kunbuor, in championing an anti-corruption crusade by politicians, mentioned the Woyome and oil drill ship saga. He opined that the ‘Woyome case’ and the ‘Drill Ship saga’ has heightened the perception that Ghanaian politicians are corrupt.
But a fuming K. T Hammond, who was a Deputy Minister of Energy in the erstwhile Kufour Administration and the one who spearheaded the sale of the Drill Ship, labeled his colleague, who he later called described as a very good friend, as “foolish, Stupid, Nonsense and useless” for referring to the issue of the Drill Ship as one of the cases that has amplified the slant that politicians are corrupt.
Hon. K.T. Hammond later apologized for his unruly behavior in the august House but Prof. Amoako Baah insists he should be dragged to the Privileges Committee of the august House of Parliament for exhibiting “emotional incompetence”.
He also expressed amazement at the level of indiscipline exhibited on the floor of Parliament and called for an immediate check so as not to get to point where Parliamentarians would engage in fisticuffs.

The Upper East Region has seen an increase in HIV/AIDS prevalence from 1.5 percent in 2011 to 2.1 percent in 2012, higher than the national prevalence rate of 1.37 percent. Experts have attributed the increase to high illiteracy rate, poverty and perennial rural-urban migration for non-existent jobs.
The issue of stigma towards persons living with HIV is another contributing factor to the high increases of HIV/AIDS prevalence in the region. This was made known during the Regional commemoration of this year’s World AIDS Day in Bolgatanga.
Upper East Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. John Koku Awonoor Williams in a speech read on his behalf by the Deputy Director Health, in-Charge of Administration, Lucio Derry, called on individuals to get to know their status to prevent getting infected by the disease.
Deputy Upper East Regional Minister, Daniel Syme called on the Regional Health Directorate, health workers and the media to educate the public on HIV/AIDS to help reduce the spread of the virus.
Upper East Regional branch President of the National Association of Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (NAP+), Comfort Ayamga called for an end in discrimination and stigma against persons living with HIV/AIDS
