Former Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga, Hon. David Apasera has said he does not have a problem with the flagbearer of the PNC accepting an ambassadorial position from the New Patriotic Party.
The People National Convention’s Flagbearer in the 2016 election, Dr. Edward Mahama was appointed as an Ambassador at Large by President Akufo-Addo. His appointment has generated debates on several social media platforms and some party leaders have also raised concerns about.
But speaking in an interview with Bolgatanga-based Tanga Radio, Hon. Apaaseri indicated that he does not have a problem with the appointment of their flagbearer as an ambassador.
To him, the appointment should be seen as a blessing since the party which does not have a representation in Parliament will have some representation and the world will be aware of their existence.
He asked the Party’s Chairman, Bernard Mornah to ‘Shut up’ about the appoint because it is for the growth of the PNC which has been in shambles for a very long time.
