The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Isaac Adongo has said he suspects there is an invisible hands behind the staff of the electoral commission manipulating them to get the EC Chairperson out of office.

The Legislator said he could not fathom why individuals seeking for the impeachment of the EC Chairperson have decided to hide behind a lawyer rather than owning out adding that it is a calculated attempt by some elements in government to get the woman out of office.

“Why are the petitioners refusing to show their identities?  I am sure there are some unseen hands in the entire petition issue. If they claim to have a case, they must show their faces”, he advised.

He said they cannot be categorized under whistle blowers but they are petitioners whose identities must be shielded from the defendant who has been accused of wrongdoing.

A group of aggrieved workers at the Electoral Commission through their Lawyer presented a petition to the President for the impeachment of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission for single handedly renegotiating a contract of a tune of $21,999,592 without laid down procedures.
