Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen has said members of the NPP who keep complaining about the party’s inability to provide them jobs should exercise restraints because he who has sacrificed for the party is still not engaged.

Mr. Boahen who was speaking to Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio said “Look my brother, I have sacrificed for the party, moving up and down just to get the party to power but since the party came to power, I have not been even given any employment, not even a board member of an organisation.”

“I still use my car and I still practice my law profession. The party doesn’t pay me for my services but I am not complaining so they should exercise patience because the party will help them,” he told A1 Radio’s Emmanuel Aboagye on Daybreak Upper East.

He indicated that that members of the NPP will be satisfied when the time is due adding that employment of people is a gradual process which needs time to be properly executed.

He said: “When you come to even Bolgatanga, you know that NPP members have been given positions at the Youth Employment, National Service, NADMO and other public Organisations so you see that the leadership of the party is doing its best to ensure that all our members are satisfied. I know that the party has projects like One District, One Factory, One Constituency, One Million Dollar project so they will be enrolled in such programmes”.

The Invincible forces, a vigilante group for the New Patriotic Party have threatened to attack executives of the party for failing to provide them with employment after almost seven months of being in government.
