The Member of Parliament for the Bongo Constituency, Edward Bawa has said the Ghanaian media has a special leaning towards the New Patriotic Party and will do everything to make the party look good in the eyes of Ghanaians.
According to him, had the allegations of Kwame A Plus against the two Deputy Chiefs of Staff happened under the Mahama led administration, the media would have done all it could to paint the government black.
He indicated that since it has happened under the Akufo-Addo led administration, the media and other stakeholders are trying their best to massage the issue to make the government look good.
The Member of Parliament in a post on Facebook said “I just can imagine if this happened under an NDC govt or better still under John Mahama. what the media and the so-called civil society groups will do. Radio stations will provide these so-called anti corruption crusaders and citizen vigilantes a platform to take the govt to the cleaners”.
He said “But as I always tell my NPP friends and their media partners: if election outcomes were solely based on what the media and their partners do, NDC would not have won 4 out of the 7 elections we have held since 1992.GHANAIANS ARE WATCHING”.
Kwame A Plus some weeks ago alleged that the two Deputy Chiefs of Staff were corrupt and stupid. His allegations were taken seriously by the President who asked for an investigation into the issue.
But after several weeks of investigations, the Police described the allegation as baseless.
