Movie Director and producer, Eddy Nartey has noted that the fortunes of the movie industry in Ghana continue to sink because most of the actors and actresses are lazy.
According to him, regardless of the effort the director and the producers of the movies put in ensuring that actors and actresses are provided with the scripts for the movies early, they fail to read the scripts before appearing on set for the movies, therefore, making the work of the director very hectic.
He indicated that another worrying fact is the fact that they are not disciplined. Eddy Nartey mentioned that actors and actresses are always late for the set and therefore producers who have paid for a location may always have to pay more because they always exceed their time limit given them.
On the characters they play in the various movies, he indicated that instead of focusing on their character and acting it out, most actors and actresses are focused on how they look on the screens rather than focus on acting the characters.
He indicated that with this kind of attitude, the movie industry will continue to sink because producers are gradually losing interest.
