Ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s regional delegate’s election, delegates in the Upper East Region have been advised not to vote for candidates who he says are yearning to amass wealth if given the opportunity.

Charles Taleog Ndanbon, an aspiring regional organizer, gave the advice when he addressed the media shortly after going through the vetting process.

Mr. Ndanbon said other 5 contenders in the race with him are not well resourced for the position which he described as an engine of the party.

“The position of the Regional Organizer is the engine of the party. Look at all of us who are contesting and check who has the qualities it takes to handle that engine for the party as we prepare for the 2020 electoral battle” he stated.

He advised that delegates in the coming election “need to entrust the party’s business into the hands of somebody who is willing and ready to spend money, energy and time to promote the NPP in the Upper East Region”

Mr. Ndanbon fears that the party’s fortunes in the region in the coming 2020 elections will fall back if delegates elect any of his competitors as a regional organizer.

The business man entreated delegates not vote for ‘jokers’ who cannot pre-finance the party’s activities

“Organizer’s work is not for jokers. If you are not well resourced, don’t go into that position at all. That is a fact I’m telling you.” He warned his competitors.

According to him, he is well endowed and will not “wait for money to be sent from party headquarters in Accra before organizing people to do party activities”

He, therefore, entreated delegates not to vote for candidates who will always rely on mobile money support to execute party activities and wonders the predicament in an eventuality of “no network” on the part of telecommunication providers.

The organising aspirant who launched “operation win more seats in 2020” hopes to establish a welfare fund for all 15 constituencies in the region to cater for the party activities.
