Founder and Chairman of Chinese E-commerce giant Alibaba, Jack Ma, will be leaving his position as the Company’s Chairman.
In his absence, the Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Zhang Yong will take over as the Company’s Chairman, according to a re-lease from the Company(Alibaba).
Jack Ma will stay on a as Board member of Alibaba after living his position as the Chairman in September 10, 2019, until the Company’s annual general meeting of stakeholders in 2020, as announced by the Alibaba re-leased.
Jack Mo is reported widely as saying he saw himself more as Teacher, after graduating from Hangzhou Normal University.
He has frequently said, that establishing a business was only accidental and that his dream has always been in the area of education.
It is not clear if Jack Ma will be establishing a School to operate or will take up a Lecturing engagement in a University in China.
In recent times, Jack Ma has been seen in short videos on social media as he address students and young entrepreneurs, which confirm his interest in education and impartation of knowledge.
