A defeated aspirant for the position of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy National Youth Organizer, Justice Yeboah has not only expressed shock about the 7 votes he got out of 900 available votes, he is more shocked that 42 delegates are swearing to him that they are sure they voted for him.

MyNewsGh.com reported how former Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Hannah Bissiw was elected the National Women’s Organizer of the opposition NDC, beating other contenders like Hajia Zaynab Mahama, who was the incumbent National Organizer as well as Hajia Tawa Zakari and Margaret Chiravira to take up the position.

We also reported how the two other persons who were elected as deputy women’s organizers were Maame Efua and Abigail Elorm.

The voting was held at the Pentecost Convention Centre at Gomoa Feteh in the Central Region.

The election saw former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Akuapem North, George Opare Addo emerge as the National Youth Organizer of the party.

Mr. Opare Addo floored two other contenders, Yaw Brogya Gyemfi and Wonder Madillo to emerge victoriously.

Mr Justice Yeboah was contesting against one Edem Agbana, another Ruth Dela (both won) and others as deputy national youth organizers.

In the results breakdown, Mr Justice Yeboah got 7 votes while Edem Agbana got elected as Deputy National Youth Organiser with 396 and Ruth Dela as 2nd Deputy National Youth organizer with 341.

Reacting to the development to MyNewsGh.com, Mr Yeboah wrote:
“I had 7 votes but 42 delegates have called me, they were all trying to convince me that they voted for me. I wish I had (0).”
