It may sound strange and unrealistic to many people in African, that a government is willing to award people who give birth up to three, with Agricultural Land.

Italian government as part of its 2019 year budget, has proposed that, Agricultural lands will be awarded to parents who may want to have their third child, and will be legal owners of the land up to 20 years.

The Agriculture Minister, Gian Marco Centinaio, explained to the Press that, the decision was reached because for the past years, about 464,000 births were registered in the country making Italy, the country with the lowest birth rate in Europe.

“They say that Italians have few children and that something is needed to turn the trend around. That’s why the Ministry wants to contribute, favoring rural areas in particular, where people still have children”. Marco Centinaio said.

The incentives according to the Minister will be limited to only married couples, rather than people in Civil Unions.
